Job Title:

Senior/Principal Process Engineer

 Purpose/ Role

• Participate and deliver all Process Engineering Conceptual/FEED/Detail Design activities.
• Provide operational support to existing client base.

 Key Requirements and Activities:

• 8 to 12 years experience in Oil and Gas, Upstream Petrochemical/Refinery Industry. Preferably Chartered Engineer but not essential.
• Familiar with scopes of work relating Conceptual, FEED and Detail Design Activities.

• Able to generate heat and material balances for process and utility systems, hydraulic analysis, process calculations for Production, Separation, Gas Processing&Conditioning, Relief, Export, and Utility system facilities onshore and offshore. This also includes build of simulation models.
• Able to generate process/utility flow diagrams (PFD/UFD), piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID), design specification, equipment and system functional specifications, data sheets, cause and effect diagrams, line list, system design philosophy, operating, control and shutdown philosophies, operating and commissioning guidelines/procedures as a minimum.
• Able to perform or familiar with review of vendor packages, technical discussions/clarifications, and finalisation of selection processes.
• Familiar with HAZID/HAZOP/SIL Assessments.
• Reviewing design/engineering documents prepared by consultant/vendors for consistency. Liaise and manage external consultancies and vendors as required.
• Review design/engineering documents prepared by other engineering disciplines.
• Familiar with the relevant and current API, ISA, PIP, ISO, ASME and other international codes and standards.
• Proficient in computer simulation packages such as HYSYS Steady State, FLARENET, FLARESIM, TASC, ACOL. Ability to use HYSYS Steady State is the primary requirement and ability to use others listed would be advantageous including HYSYS Dynamics.
• Good relationship management and communication skills.
• Able to work on tender and generate proposal for potential work scopes.
• Willing to travel offshore and abroad on assignments, but not an essential requirement. 

Prime Responsibilities & Duties: 

• Implement Company, and where applicable, Client/Project policies and procedures.
• Individual must be able to perform assigned tasks independently, liaise with client, manage budgets, and, supervise and mentor graduate engineers.
• Able to liaise with other engineering disciplines.
• Approval, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation.
• Management of project manhour budget.
• Ensure all design and documents are completed and delivered within the allocated hours and in accordance with the project schedule..
  

Skills/Qualifications 

• Degree/Masters in Chemical Engineering.
